It's easy to love modern technology and I love my Mac as much as the next person (OK maybe more so, tech nerd that I am) but for real authenticity and a quality feel you can’t beat old style print techniques, and last week the Sydney creative team went back to basics to investigate why the traditional way is becoming increasingly popular... meet Wolfgang.
Wolfgang is the print press at The Distillery Letterpress Printers here in North Sydney, and boy does it pack a punch, the effects are impressive as Wolfgang looks... sumptuous paper and inky finishes all add to the authentic and unique feel. Our field trip has inspired us to hunt out more, for those who aren’t as clued up on the history of the humble press read more here and for some inspirational pieces and great insights we’re addicted to the Typoretum blog.
Our verdict... old is definitely new, put down your mouse and get the ink out.
