Victorious at Vertex

We are thrilled to be able to share that we have been honoured with six, yes six, Vertex Awards at this year’s Velocity conference.

 

Landing three Gold awards in recognition of: a redesign of the Culinaria range for US supermarket Schnucks, a redesign of the Specially Selected range for ALDI Australia and a fresh take on the Barissimo Coffee Passport series for ALDI US.

 

We also scooped two bronze awards for a redesign of Co-op’s Christmas range and for a label refresh of Schnucks Snacking Nuts. Plus, a special commendation came in the form of a Publishers’ Choice Award, recognising our design work around Co-op’s limited edition Halloween range. This “best in show” distinction proved an exciting and completely unexpected nod for our gruesome gaggle of ghosts and ghouls.

 

All of the award-winning designs harnessed originality to communicate authentic provenance and premium quality with the aim of garnering more onshelf standout within their respective ranges. The final outcome demonstrated the culmination of industry-leading market insights as well as the outstanding illustration, design and photography innovation we have become known for globally.

 

As the biggest and broadest international design competition of its type, Vertex recognises excellence among top creative professionals, with a focus on own brands. This sweep represents recognition on an international scale with Gold wins across each of our global markets – a truly incredible feat. 

 

Group creative director Michael Duffy said: “We’re ecstatic that our work has been honoured once again by the Vertex judges. There were some great projects in the mix that demonstrated a high level of execution so to take home six awards is testament to the incredible work of our global design team who consistently look to find innovative and forward-thinking ways to push the boundaries of creativity.
