Hello Hobby is Walmart’s first foray into the competitive craft category and there were ambitious plans to launch an extensive and cohesive range that would appeal to both adults and children, and to both crafting novices and afficionados.

HAND-MADE, HOME-MADE

The brand articulates the joy of hand-made and home-made crafts with a visual approach that looks like it has been crafted, encouraging trial and buy in. A waving hand logo was created to appear on every pack as a friendly, welcoming brand signature. This simple device has been carried through to the products themselves, as imprints on tools and materials, delivering an instantly recognizable icon for all products in the range.

FUN FOR ALL

The range includes products designed for both adults and kids with the design delivering differentiation while maintaining a cohesive style for all Hello Hobby products. The packs for adult crafts are a more serious take on the creative, while the kids’ products are brighter with a clear color-coding system for age range call outs, which makes product selection easier for children and their grown-ups.
