Coors Banquet is a beer with a strong brand identity evoking the great outdoors and a work hard/enjoy adventures approach to life. Consumers enjoy the release of a new heritage can with a new theme and story each year. The challenge for Equator in creating the latest can design was to connect with younger consumers (aged 25-35), while exciting existing customers.
THE GOLD STANDARD
Using two tones of gold and branding that wraps around the can for a striking contemporary look, the design incorporates traditional typography, the year the brewery was founded in 1873 and the familiar ‘Banquet’ badge to evoke the product’s heritage too.
