Unlocking success with front-of-pack nutrition labelling

In June 2022, Health Canada announced a significant amendment to the Food and Drug Regulations: the introduction of Front-of-Pack (FOP) nutrition labelling. This means that, from 1st January 2026, packaged foods high in saturated fats, sugars, and/or sodium must feature a specific symbol on the front of their packaging.

The introduction of FOP nutrition labelling presents a substantial challenge for brands. However, such a regulatory shift also creates an opportunity for forward-thinking brands to go beyond compliance and strategically rethink and enhance their packaging. It is a chance to align more closely with consumer health trends and preferences and stand out in a crowded market.

FOP labelling tells an incomplete story, meaning brands need both foresight and action plans to mitigate negative impact through reformulation, repositioning or redesign. In this webinar, you will learn how to assess which SKUs will be impacted, identify strategic opportunities and ensure packaging updates are executed flawlessly. Plus, our speakers will touch on how to reshape your brand vision, develop new products and stay ahead of market trends.
