Walmart - Sparkli Spiked Seltzer

The Story

As spiked seltzer emerged as the fastest growing category in adult beverage, Equator's Cincinnati team, collaborated with Walmart to create the all new Sparkli range, engaging a highly sought after millennial market – communicating flavour and lifestyle while creating a distinctive brand which emulates all things fresh, sparkling, clean and with modern thinking.

The Approach

Aiming to engage both women and men, we explored bold and impactful type while using the can’s silver substrate to our advantage, choosing colors which “pop” and would stand apart from most in the category, who use white. Patterns create a retro-yet-modern feel, while we communicated its “Guilt Free” quality subtly on the top of the can, also drawing attention to the Gluten Free and Made with Real Cane Sugar callouts. The new designs were developed not just to look good on-shelf in cartons and corrugated trays, but also being eye-catching in a can, responding to dry-offset printing limitations.
