Equator announces Toronto studio opening
Our award-winning global packaging design agency has proudly opened a new strategic location in Toronto, Canada.
We’ve started 2023 on a high – like CN Tower high. That’s because Equator Design can now call Canada’s largest city home, with the unveiling our newest studio, located near Toronto in Mississauga, ON.
Previously an independent studio part of our parent company SGK, a Matthews International Company, the newest one is home to a talented team working predominantly with national brands and household names, the Toronto office adds to Equator’s five existing studios in Manchester, Nottingham, Chicago, Cincinnati, and Sydney.
Augmenting our capacity to deliver seamless, end-to-end strategy, branding and design to our clients worldwide, the talented creative team at the Toronto studio already have an impressive track record for success and an outstanding reputation, having extensively collaborated with national brands and household names.
The Canadian studio will further strengthen our positioning to support retailers and brands throughout the lifecycle of packaging projects, as we leverage our multi-disciplinary team of designers, photographers, illustrators and artworkers to take them seamlessly from strategy to shelf.
“This is great news for our agency and we are thrilled to welcome the Toronto creative team to Equator Design,” comments Equator Global Creative Director, Michael Duffy. “I have no doubt that the integration of the Canadian studio will have a significant positive impact on our ability to continue to elevate our strategic and creative partnerships with national and retail brands.
“Over the past month, we’ve been onboarding our new colleagues and, culturally, they’re already a great fit. Their design expertise will be of huge benefit to our clients and we’re looking forward to collaborating with them to deliver some incredible outcomes for our collective clients in the months and years ahead.”
On her team’s integration into the wider Equator brand, Operations Manager Bernadette Sheppard commented: “Being a part of the Equator group is a very positive shift for us and there’s a lot of great momentum gathering as the teams come together.
“Now we have a pool of bigger and more powerful talent that we can branch out to when it comes to things like strategy, which Equator just excels at. It’s wonderful news for clients, but also for everyone in the team, who see the exciting opportunities for their development and progression. We look forward to substantially increasing our reach in the region and building out the strategy and process elements of our work.”
